In September 2024, I began studying film at LUCA School of Arts in Brussels to turn my lifelong passion into a profession.

From October 2022 until August 2024, I managed the production process of various life-action and animation video projects at a production agency in The Hague. Our clients include the Dutch government or the fire patrol but also Shell and Unilever. I coordinate the work of the directors, filming crew, editors and animators and help them align their vision with the clients’ vision. This was my first entirely Dutch speaking position.

From March 2022 until August 2024, I participate in the organizing a film club in my neighbourhood in The Hague. Next to programming and introducing films, I planned, edited and scheduled promotional content for the screenings. I want to make the stranger side of art house film accessible for a wider audience in The Hague.

Since 2022, I helped organise and publish/promote two festivals at De Regentes in The Hague. Sounds of Silence focusses on silent films with live music, while Altered States is a multidisciplinary art festival that curates performances, music, installations, workshops and film/video that alter states of mind.

In November 2021, I was selected as a juror in the International People’s Jury of Five Flavours Film Festival in Warsaw, PL. These 10 intense days, where we followed workshops, met industry professionals, and watched three movies a day, confirmed that I wanted the film world to be my work environment, as well as my happy place.

Until November 2022, I managed a team of four editors at Coolblue. We wrote product and advice content for the German website. I learned to thrive and survive in dynamic corporate structures and kept many balls in the air, without loosing attention to detail. Our harmonic, constructive team, was my biggest asset.

In 2020 I graduated with honors from De Haagse Hogeschool. The study taught me writing skills, critical thinking and project management. Through my personal projects and movie nights, I am applying the conclusions of my thesis on motivating viewers to visit art house cinemas.

For video editing, I use DaVinci Resolve. I also have a good working knowledge of InDesign and am able to work with Premiere, Photoshop and Illustrator.

I have intermediate knowledge in working with Wordpress and MailChimp for publishing attractive and effective content. I am very familiar with Google Suite.

Participating in 15 webinars by Five Flavours Film Festival (PL) taught me how to analyze and talk about films without imposing a subjective interpretation—instead providing the readers with tools to discover meaning on their own.
